Sarvhitkari Educational Society (Regd.), Chandigarh is a state unit of Vidya Bharti – an all India Educational Society based at New Delhi which is running about 25,000 Educational institutions all over the country (13,000 formal and 12,000 single teacher schools). It is the largest Non Government organisation in the world which provides effective model for education. It organises workshops, seminars, conference and capacity building programmes to promote the standard of education as per the need of our times. In Punjab, it is running 121 formal schools and more than 361 informal educational institutions (Sanskar Kenders). Sarvhitkari Educational Society traces its roots to the legacy that has been reforming and redefining India’s educational scenario for 50 years since its inception in the year 1970. Sarvhitkari Educational Society considers education a main tool for social transformation and hence the focus remains in imparting quality and value – based education to the students based on Indian Culture and history.
